NIW DIY kit price change

March 7, 2015 By Veronika 8 Comments

Hi guys,

We hope you all are doing well.

Just a short message today – after careful consideration we decided to increase the price of our NIW DIY kit to $99.

This change is based on the feedback from our clients who purchased the kit. Many of them stated in the survey that the quality of the materials we provide was very high compared to our competitors and they would be willing to pay more for that quality.

In opposite to our competitors our blog still provides helpful extensive material for free. We are also in the middle of some interesting additions which should come soon.

Take this message as kind of “last call” if you want the NIW DIY kit for the original price of $75. This price will stay last seven days from now and will be changed on PI day (3/14/15).

Thanks for understanding. Take care!

    Dear Veronika

To what extent should I change the wording in your NIW DIY materials before I submit them? Are you aware of the cases when USCIS rejected submission because it resembled someone else’s documents too much?

      Dear Ivan,

thank you for your question. I think that USCIS shouldn’t reject the petition just because someone uses same words. In case I imagine some big law firm which is doing hundreds of cases per year I don’t think they are able to have unique words in every case. But this is just my opinion, I am not a lawyer.

So far, I didn’t read about rejection from this reason. Also none of my clients were rejected from that reason (now it was more than 400 people who bought the kit).

      Hope it helps.

    Hello Veronika,

Sorry for asking this in the form of a reply to your blog post, but I could not find a simple way to email you.
I am a postdoc in experimental solid state physics with 9 publications and ~ 45 citations. I am planning to start the self petition through the NIW category. I believe I have a medium strength case as I don’t have many and also highly cited publications and the new publications won’t get much citations in the next 3-6 month (I am planning to publish 2-3 articles soon). To gauge the strength of my case I was reading the denials of administrative decisions of the USCIS appeals office and a recurring theme was that the petitioner did not provide a sufficient number of explicit examples of others in the field using the results of the petitioner’s research. I understand that this is always relative, but does anyone has an expectations how much of such examples is enough?

My naive guess is that if the usual number of “required” references is 6, then, ideally, all of those should contain such examples. If the references for some reasons are not containing such examples, then I still need roughly six examples from independent sources that my work is used by other peers. Are my expectations correct?

I guess to rephrase my question differently, how many unique evidences do I need to have to prove a third part of the NYSDOT case NIW test.

    Thank you!
    Ivan

      Hi Ivan,

there is no rule how many evidence or recommendation letters you need to have. The only thing which matters is to convince USCIS officer that you satisfy all criteria. Use as many evidence as needed to do that. Hope it helps. You can contact me by email contact@eb2niw.com .

    Hi

What is your (or some one else) experience with NIW without being in US – things to think about?

When getting the NIW approved, how long can i wait before going to US? I need a wok also.

      Hi Per,

thank you for your question. I had several clients who successfully applied from abroad. According to what they said to me, they had strong recommendation letters written by distinguished American experts explaining why USA need them. Except other things of course.

I also recommend to check “Consular processing” at USCIS website – second phase of the process goes through a consulate in a foreign country (cannot apply for I-485).

Those clients also told me that it took several months to approve their application, around half a year in one case. But this can differ a lot in individual cases.

      Wish you all the best.
