You can find following statement at the official USCIS I-944 website:
Beginning on March 9, 2021, applicants should not file Form I-944, Declaration of Self-Sufficiency, or any evidence or documentation required on that form with their Form I-485. The Form I-944 has been discontinued.
USCIS immediately stopped applying the Public Charge Final Rule to all pending applications and petitions that would have been subject to the rule.
USCIS continues to apply the public charge inadmissibility statute, including consideration of the statutory minimum factors in the totality of the circumstances, in accordance with the 1999 Interim Field Guidance that was in place before the Public Charge Final Rule was implemented on Feb. 24, 2020, to the adjudication of any application for adjustment of status.
DHS further clarifies:
Under the 1999 interim field guidance, DHS will not consider a person’s receipt of Medicaid (except for Medicaid for long-term institutionalization), public housing, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits as part of the public charge inadmissibility determination. In addition, medical treatment or preventive services for COVID-19, including vaccines, will not be considered for public charge purposes.
Completing form I-944 and providing all the evidence was quite challenging for many of you. I guess you will probably welcome this change.
I will remove I-944 and related documents from all our DIY kits soon.
I purchased my NIW EB2 DIY kit, but it turns out that it’s an outdated kit (6/2020). Can you respond by sending the updated version of the kit to my email please?

In fact, you have the most current version of the kit, I did not release the new one yet. I am still working on it. I am updating all the forms in all my kits to the most current versions (there are usually almost no visible changes, but once I am doing this I will do it properly). It might take some time since I am currently moving my family across the country. I can see you are already subscribed to the newsletter so you will get notification by email and it will also appear on the blog.
I am aware of only one bigger change and this is the one mentioned in the blogpost. It is simple – you will not include I944 and related evidence. To be more specific, open the file I-485.pdf and remove this from petition letter: 5. Form I-944, Declaration of Self-Sufficiency and 18. Evidence for I-944 – IRS Tax return transcript, checking account statement, credit
report, health insurance coverage. Also remove form I-944 and evidence from the petition itself.

Hello, can I ask you where is your original country before immigrating to the US? Does your DIY kit include the ‘Request For Evidence’ (RFE)? I’m really into your DIY kit.

we came from the small country in the heart of Europe. Our kit does not include RFE. Each RFE is different and you just follow the instructions from USCIS. For example, they will issue a RFE asking for missing documents or evidence.

The case shown in DIY kit is the real case of a scientist (no business plan was needed). This case also describe future work plans of applicant, supported by testimonies. Is this what you call professional plan? There is no specific requirement in NIW category to submit professional plan. Check NIW requirements here.

1) yes, concurrent filing requires same documents but there is a check box in 140 form where you can indicate which forms are you sending within this petition (checking all boxes appropriate to your situation, i.e I-485 etc.)
2) There is one change which was not updated yet – form I944 and related evidence is no longer needed (just remove it)

I recently purchased the kit and I am going through the NIW-Ebook right now. So far it has been a good read but I find it distracting that I have to keep reminding myself that reference letter = recommendation letter = testimonial. For example in section 4.3, the title of the section is Style of the “testimonial letter”. Then the first sentence has “recommendation letter”, then that same paragraph ends with “reference letter”. I understand the book is essentially a unification of bits of information that may have been found from different sources and I appreciate the work done to bring it all together, but please can these inconsistencies in terminologies be fixed? You are right, all these words have same meaning. I am sorry if it is confusing.
I actually had to use these intentionally because many people were asking about the opposite (for example, looking for reference letters and asking why there are recommendation letters etc). This way people understand that this is the same thing. Again sorry if it is confusing for you.

We received our Green Card about 6 months ago after using your kit! Thank you! I have two practical recommendations. First, to submit the I-140 and I-485 together. Second, make sure the forms you fill are updated. We filled one of the forms about six month or so before sending it and although the form was the same and hasn’t changed for several years, the barcode has changed, so we had to send it again.
